Fleas and ticks prefer cool, moist places and can often be found at lakes, in tree shrubs, leaves, and in creeks. Make sure to check your animals regularly for fleas and ticks to avoid an infestation, even in the winter. Be aware of your animal’s surroundings and use flea and tick treatment if you suspect your animal may be infested.
